| The Antica Locanda della via Francigena is just off the historic Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrim’s way that runs 1,600 km from Canterbury to Rome and is still in use today. |
| 4 km down the road is the Massi di San Sisto spa area set in open countryside and olive groves with two natural open-air pools of hot and cold spa water (special prices for hotel guests). Slightly further on is the medieval town of Viterbo with its Terme dei Papi spa. The spa has a large swimming pool of naturally warm spa water and excellent health and beauty facilities for a range of treatments. (The hotel has a special arrangement with the spa entitling guests to discounts). Guests who prefer not to drive will be met at the nearby railway station of Tre Croci, on the Rome-Viterbo line. Trains run from here every half hour. |
